took a second of my fast lap and that was with traffic in the way... my NT01's are not shaved either, all my old RA1's were shaved.

Just for laughs....what do the NT01s cost compared to the RA1s?

you could never pay me to lie

the tires are good, toyo, nitto, same company (well, kind of). NT01's share technology from RA1's, Toyo 888's style compound.

so far I am impressed... good tire wear (to LA & back, plus 2 track events, still plenty of tread left, even with severe negative camber.

I was looking at the NT01s at the L.A. Auto Show a couple of weeks ago. Nitto had an exhibit there. They look sick. They gave me a brochure that showed all the sizes available, but of course no one knew what my EVO size cost.

Nils???

Nils,

I have been posting on your other power/engine mods for racing post and I have some (2 cents) on brakes. Some of my likes are the 2 piece front rotors from Racing Brake, the 1 piece rear rotors also from Racing brake. I like the Ferodo pads...as I would use the 3000's in the Front and 2500's on the rear since you drive the car to and from the track. I love the Super Blue brake fluid that you are already using because it picks up less water than Motul 600. Go with stainless brake lines from anyone and you will be set. Of course these are just my favorites and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Brakes: Ferodo DS2500
Tires: Toyo T1-R

not a hard-core race setup, but for me a great compromise for track/street.

Are SS lines really needed? I know they make great replacements for aging lines but decent condition stock lines should be fine right?

Fine yes, but the pedal feel you get from SS lines is unmatched, not to mention the safety factor.

not only that but SS lines will take a better beating. Hate to see the stock line catch some debris at 130+.

It's definately much easier to modulate the pedal at the limit with the SS lines.

I've been running the stock lines for about 12 events so far with no problems.

I do however have some RRE SS lines that have been sitting on my shelf for about the same amount of time.

Once I de-lazy myself I'll be putting them on.

Well I have been looking for pads as well. Anyone found cheaper prices on the XP series pads?

Fronts are $233 Rears are $133.

RRE SS Lines are $99

Pads are definately getting pricey these days.
