I'm still saddened that the Evo had to take a year of time off. Otherwise, I just hope they come back with a stronger team and a more refined machinery. They also need to find a better driver if they wanna win the manufacturers title.

When can I find JGTC coverage? What's the show called and what keywords could I use via Tivo program search?

thanks,

thanks,
You read my mind. It's always unfortunate that almost all car racing is titled "Auto Racing" for the TiVo guide. Just this season did they break out F1 and CART to be called Forumla One Racing and CART Racing, respectively. CART Racing also includes the Toyota Atlantic Series too, oddly enough. I'd be interetsed to know what JGTC is listed as.... maybe do a Keyword Wishlist.

The Rally Turkey happened a long time ago, this must be a rebroadcast. I have mixed feelings Speed's coverage this season. While I'm disappointed they went back to a delayed airing, it's better than it was in 2001. 2001 was 1 hour of coverage and was aired about 3 weeks after the event. 2002 say 5 days of coverage with Rally XS on Thursday, 1 hour of coverage each day of the rally, and then Rally XTra on Monday. That was almost overload, and I wasn't actually a big fan of the footage in 2002.

They had the "ride along" footage about 45 minutes into the show that just replayed all the in-car footage from earlier in the show. I like the in-car, but 2002 was almost completely in-car compared to 2001 which had many more external views, where you can really see the driver working the car around the corners!

Now for 2003 we're back to a few days delay for the coverage (kind of annoying), and we get 2 hours of footage for the rally (better than 2001 at least). They've done away with the excessive in-car coverage, and have Nicky Grist and Penny Mallory doing some on-site commentary at the event. I think the 2003 coverage is pretty good overall!

Edit: Oh yah, for 2002 and 2003 they're using that badass Virtual Spectator system! That's a very cool way to analyze the drivers and show how punctures, tire choice, etc. affect stage times.
