Works Poly bushing set is a weight saver!

Finally got all of the Works Poly bushings from their master set installed in the Evo. Their bushings on my scale weighed 5.5 lbs (+/- 0.5 lbs resolution). The OEM bushings weighed 7 lbs on the same scale.

So there is a 1.5 lbs savings by moving to the poly. Small benefit I know, just figured I would share.

I won't have the car on the road for about another month, so I can't actually comment on their function. Fitment was good, there may be a couple of them that I wouldn't change again due to the OEM rubber to metal ratio, except these have the advantage of allowing free movement of the arms and won't bind as the OEM does.

One thing I didn't care for was with the differential carrier bushings. Both Works and Energy Suspension don't supply a full bushing replacement, IMO of course. On the OEM bushing you have the standard rubber bonded to metal sleeve which is pressed into the diff, then you have an upper steel flat washer and a lower "bell" shaped washer. When you add the total stackups neither the Works or Energy parts equal the stackups. They only equal the size of the inner bushing which is pressed in the diff. Then there is no washer to effectively hold the poly bushing in place, the only surface area holding it is the head of the bolt, and it's not much. To remedy the situation I used the OEM upper flat washer on the bottom to hold the bushing in place and used a plated steel fender washer of the proper thickness on top to retain the diff's relationship to the prop shaft. I know this probably sounds confusing but if you look at a diagram or have seen the parts you would understand.
