At what point...

..do you guys stop trying to get all the rubber off your car?

My basic claim is that the more rubber you have on the car, the better you were runnin, as you were always coming up behind people, but MANNNN..

i had to spend at least 90 min, if not 2 hrs, just getting all the huge rubber streaks off the hood/bumper/sides, and hell, i even had some on the roof!

Just wondering if any of you guys have reached that point where the rubber marks no longer bother you

they bother me once a week...only when i wash it and figure out they are there.

i guess since you have silver or if you have white they would be more annoying.

Compelling logic! Pokey, porky Panteras with 335s do throw up a lot of crumbs. Just put a good coat of wax on before events and the tire marks come off pretty easily.

I thought I had all the rubber off my car from last year...then I found some on my REAR SPEAKERS last night.

But does it bother me? Heck no, it's too much fun to bother me!

Big chunk of rubber back there that apparently flew in and I've overlooked.

My dad gets marks all over his helmet in his M3.

i once actually watched a ball of rubber the size of golf ball fly off the tire of a vette i was follwing. i watched it come through the air like a fly ball, and heard it thump on the roof! left a nice skid mark.

I wash my car by hand every week or two but it's not a show car. If rubber marks are the price I pay to drive the Evo on the track, then so be it. I'm definitely getting a clear bra on my next car!

The only time I really get miffed is when there is some gravel stuck to it and it causes a good scratch. Kinda freaks me out when a big chuck comes right at my head and makes me duck. On the other hand, that means I'm going tip to tail and having a blast

I use Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish. It works really well for cleaning the tar and rubber marks off. I have used it for years

You stop caring when you realize that they are covering up the chips left from the Corvettes kicking up gravel.

haha, nah, obviously the guys in the vettes here weren't too skilled as the supercharged miata's put up more of a fight than the c6's.

by about midday, i'd just come up on someone, and i'd automatically get the point, was kinda nice.

I'm still not real sure how i didn't boil my ate superblue (caliper was 640 degrees.)

I'd have kept going but the tires were getting quite warm, still had plenty of brake left :dontknow:

climbing under the car tonight to fix a leak at my o2 housing...my side skirts.. the underside edge, it's hard to find a silver spot on them
