Large Size Racing Seats??

Hello All,

I am trying to find a racing bucket seat that will fit me. I am 6'3", 275 # with about a 42 inch waist. I was thinking about the Sparco Evo2 as I heard that was the biggest you can fit in our cars, but I had a distributor tell me that the EVO 2 will be too small for me.

Any big guys (or ladies) out there have any experience on this subject?

Thanks!

I have a Sparco Evo3 in my rally car and I love it. I'm 6'0" 280. The Evo2 should work (for someone with a 42" waist), you want it to be snug when you sit in it, but not uncomfortably tight.

Greg,

Thanks for the info. Mind if I ask your waist size? You can PM me if you want. I sat in a RaceTech 4000W that I was told was "about" the same size as an EVO2, and my hips hit at the area where the lap belts go through (best I can come up with to describe the area is the "side walls"). This area doesn't exist on the stock Recaros due to the reclining mechanism.

Take a gander at the oversized corbeau's. I have one that I moved to my pass seat cuz it was 4" too wide.

Thanks for the heads up on the Forza 2. With the Forza sliders how does it set compared to the stock seat? Higher, lower, same? I know people say the Sparco's with the sparco bracket sets quite a bit higher. Thanks!

Where did it not fit? Up at the top "wing" area or down by the center console? You interested in selling it? What color??

Cobra Makes a Large seat in all of their models. I would recommend the Suzuka in the GT size if you are going to be racing or time-trialing.

shoulder wing area is too wide, hitting the b-pillar. evo2 is kinda tight fit for my size

I wonder how hard it would be to move the whole seat in toward the center console about 1/4-1/2". Probably would need some custom brackets or something. Mind if I ask how how big you are? I'm 6'3, 275# or so. Do you think the EVO2 would be small for me?

I already put my car on a diet . . . now you expect me to do it too?? My friends always mess with me because I try to knock off weight on the car when I could knock an easy 50 pounds off my stomach and a$$.

I don't know about some of these seats. I am 5'8 and 135 lbs, I can barely fit into a Bride Zeta III.
