Max spring rate for stock Advans

Maybe not the easiest question in the world to answer but what is the max spring rate you can run on the Evo before you over spring the stock Advan tires? I'm running in STU for Solo 2 and lately I'm starting to notice that I'm hitting the bump stops on my current 500 lb. rear springs with the K-sport coilovers. So I wanted to get some feedback on how high I could go before the loss of grip out weighs the benefit of a stiffer spring. Thanks in advance!

I would say 8k-9k. With 10K springs, I could blow off the tires mid corner. However, my dampening was inadequate, this could have helped some. However, I still would not exceed 10k (@600lbs.)

For the stock Advans 500lbs in the rear is more than enough. If you're hitting the bumpstops then either your car is too low or those dampers have inadequate compression damping.

Thanks for the info guys. I think that let's me know I'm in the ball park with my current spring rates.

You might be right on the damping, it could be time to start looking at another coilover setup once these are done.
