Alister McRae took 6th place in the WRC New Zealand. "That really should have been fifth, but the Lancer's centre differential broke on the final day and the car was handling so badly that Toni Gardemeister had an easy time getting past him." Not bad though considering he was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Evo against the latest 2003 World Rally Cars.
