It was nice meeting George and Gabe up there. George had a great drive in the rain, fastest EVO on day one and held on to 2nd for day 2. I think everyone else felt a little more dignified after it dried up for day 2, since NONE of us had a decent rain tire. Chris and Nelson just took off from everyone else on their wets.

I laid down some good runs on Sunday, but Hazard kept coming. Too many transitional elements in the course for me to get him plus I drove all the slaloms a little too conservative. Anyhow, I did find out my car was lifting the inside front tire exiting the chicago box!

I'll have pics and some in-car video in a day or 2.

Nice to meet all you guys up there! Saturday was horrible, I got wet from head to toe, I almost want to pack my stuff and go home since I have no tires to run in the heavy rain. Sunday was great though, the dry weather help me to moved up a few spot and trophy...which I really didn't expect. Anyway, I had a blast on Sunday.

Gabe and Kyle, hope to see you guys more often, maybe some local events too. Gabe, I think you did really well with stock suspension and tires.

Matt, when are you joining us?

 

Lesson learned on Saturday: Don't bring safety scissors to a gun fight loaded with .45's !

Translated: Real rain tires are needed to be competitive in the wet.

I had a good time despite the weather Sat. It was great to meet you guys. Maybe before the season ends I can make it down to your area. It wil save you a long drive to whoop me on the track... -Gabe

Thanks Matt! and nice to meet you guys from here too... although it rain hard on sat. but i still really really enjoy it, maybe this is the 1st big event i ever been, so i totally didn't expected anything, the rain, the trophy. anyway.. that was a great experience for me, now i know what is a REAL competition and what a course! i think i wasn't that competitive, and the trophy just out from a lucky hand but i truthly learned a whole lot out of it. So... Here I come... DC ProSolo and NE Division. Hope to see everyone there!

Nice to see so many white EVOs out at Devens! I was expecting to be mid-pack in AS at best, but the rain on Saturday worked in my favor. The low traction conditions took away most of the sweeping arcs out of the course turning it into a point and shoot affair. This was a perfect environment for the MRs softer suspension with 9s ACD AWD and strong motor providing the get up and go.
