USTCC in Portland
The WORKS Team is at Portland International Raceway providing support for this weekend’s USTCC event. The WORKS-sponsored GoodSport EVO has proven to be a force to contend with with Dave Brown behind the wheel. Despite the added weight from previous victories, we look forward to an exciting race weekend. Check out http://www.ustcc.com/ for event schedule and further info and stay tuned for the results.
congrats to Dave for taking 2nd place. That RSX is really quick, but i'd be interested in knowing how much lighter the RSX is.. isn't the Evo saddled with like 300+ lbs extra weight after winning earlier this year? The Evo was quick at first but it seemed like his tires were going away awfully quickly, he was sliding around turns like crazy at the end.. maybe someone should tell Dave it's not a drift competition..
I was sitting up around between turn 4 and 5, and was up on a scaffold in the motorhome section, and had a great view. I didn't even know USTCC was going to be here today.. it was a great surprise, and very fun to see an Evo out there.

It was a great race weekend, and we thank everyone for their support, especially K&N Engineering, manufacturer of the worlds best air filters, Works, Robispec, the GoodSport Crew, and of course, Champ Car.
Champ Car put on an awesome show, as usual. Opak Racing really stepped up and gave us a good beating, despite a great effort from the Dave Brown and the Goodsport crew. Tyler McQuarrie is a great driver and a real gentleman. We are thankful for the opportunity to race against quality teams like Opak. They are a focused team, and really help keep the entire USTCC field on their toes.
USTCC will be back in Portland, OR at PIR next month for ALMS the weekend of July 22, so expect to see the Evo there again, hopefully a little faster.
Goodsport Racing will be displaying the Evo at the NASA Reno Fernley this weekend and the NASA Norcal midweek HPDE on June 28. Robispec will be at the midweek to help us dial in a new suspension, and he should be available for customer installations and support as well.
The current VTS for the USTCC Evo calls for 3250 lbs.
