I didn't realise that AutoPower made so many different setups for the EVO, For one like Fireball's I just want their "Race" version, right?

Yes. he has the race version with harness bar option (horz bar that goes across. Make sure you get the non-removable bars.

Looks like this:

They are special order, so I'll have it in about a month. Someone may have one in stock, but I needed some other stuff from them as well. Bar was under $400, shipping is billed separately (truck freight).

What's the difference in the 1.75" DOM tubing and the 2" ERW tube?

Is one "better" than the other?

The bigger one is stiffer and heavier.

Will these bolt-in cages really save your butt in the event of a high speed rollover on a racetrack?

As long as you properly spread the load on the hoop legs, it is every bit as safe as a custom weld-in rollbar. This from a reputable local cage builder I consulted with prior to buying mine.

The one bad thing about the autopower bars is that the main hoop only mounts to one surface, which is the floor. The floor thickness isn't that much and would probably be the first thing to fail. The worst case situation would be having the main hoop will poke through floor in a roll over.

Here's a picture of how the main hoop bolts to the floor on my roll-bar. Plates have been welded up from the floor. So the load from my main hoop is distributed over several surfaces.

Only two bolts per plate holding it in? I would think they'd make it so it could be bolted on each side of the bar.

There are 3 bolts per plate. You can't see the other one.
