submarine belts?

I am looking to buy a set of 6 point camlock harnesses and I noticed that the "formula style" sub belts, that are attached to the lap and shoulder belts, are not necessarily recommended for sedans. It never really says don't use on a sedan.

This design looks more comfortable and practical compared to a single tab that locks at the bottom of the cam. Anyone have first hand knowledge, not what they have read, on why it may not be for sedans? Thanks

Simpson's platinum formula-6 harness is something I would like to consider but no one at simpson or impact is knowledgable to give an answer.

With a 5 or 6 pt, you need to install another mounting point for it to function correctly (if at all).

That makes them not really a bolt in. I'm running 5 pts in my car, the simpsons.
