Finally was able to Auto-X the Evo; vid and some pix
Took the Evo to a Porsche club AutoX last weekend. It was my first event in the Evo so I was looking forward to seeing what she could do... we got nine total runs. Ended up doing pretty well and I was pleased at how the car did. I hit some cones because it would slow down and turn in much harder than I was estimating. Nice wide open course, too, so I was able to get to the top of 2nd at one point
Ended up getting second in my class (which was all non-Porsches... they've got their own system) finishing only behind a prepped Lotus Europa with a 3.8GN engine who was 4+ seconds faster then the second fastest car of the day. Did better than a C6, C4S, and a number of 944's and Boxters. Would have finished 5th of 31 competitors losing out to only that Lotus and their "D" class top three times, which is their best drivers.
It's just kind of fun to go to an event like that and see the looks on people's faces when they announce the top times and a Mitsubishi beat all but three of the Porsches, as well as a couple moded Audis, C6, etc...

Great pictures. My brother-in-law ran my Evo at a local PCA event and said the same thing. It was great hearing what they said before hand and seeing their faces after he ran. To top it off it was raining a bit so he destroyed the 944's and 911's. The two fastest cars were the non-Porsches! The Evo and an R32 VW.
BTW, love the video and the blue looks great also.
