RacerFactory is going out of business and cancelled their event at Streets of Willow in Rosamond, Calif. on the weekend of Aug. 12 & 13. SpeedVentures and RedlineTrackEvents have been contacted and neither one is interested in adding those dates to their schedule. If you know of any other HPDE group that might want to take those dates, please contact them, or PM me and I will do it, since I know almost all of the event organizers. I'm sure SpeedTrialUSA won't want the dates because they are at Buttonwillow that weekend.

I guess there is the possibility of a private track day if enough people are interested. I called Willow Springs admin. office and they didn't know about the cancellation yet, but I'm sure it will happen.

Of course it will be hot as blazes, but it was last Friday at the Cal. Speedway ROVAL and last Saturday at Streets, and I still had fun.

 

Geez, Richard, I wish I had your life. Going to as many track days as you would be my nirvana...alas neither my boss nor my girlfriend will have it. But, Buttonwillow with Speed ventures in Sept is coming slowly but surely.

btw- I think I saw you at Big Willow on July 1,2. I had the apex silver with the silly red vortex generator, which I've since removed. You had the white RS right? You've got a great car.

Yeah that's me in the white RS (with factory VIII rear wing). It was awful hot that weekend and couldn't get much less that 2 seconds slow than my personal best at Big Willow, but is sure was fun.

I'm divorced, so no one can tell me I can't go to the track. I work long hours and sometimes on weekends when necessary, so no one at work complains when I take a day off to go to the track, as long as work isn't too busy that day.

 

I hear ya. My next evo will be an RS with a stock wing added too. I'll see you at Buttonwillow.
