Do a search for the service engine code, most likely it's not dead. Go to autozone and get the code pulled for sure.

Uh I don't see what's so funny about running a cat on the track. Most of us have daily drivers, and other than noise, it's illegal as you know to drive it on the street. Any police officer can pull you over for their own "just cause or reasonable suspicion" It's a hefty fine for not having a cat on the car..

If your car is a daily driver, you're doing a whole lot of true swapping at the track.

Wheels-tires, brakes, suspension settings, etc.

I don't street mine, however MAAANNNY states do not have emissions testing.

Don't act like a tool, and you won't get pulled over anyways At the last track day i was at, i probably could count on one hand the number of converters on cars. Remember, a high-flow is just as illegal without proper documentation

A catless car doesn't have to be stupidly loud, thats what a muffler is for.

However, if you make all those swaps at a track, more power to ya.

You're 10x more likely to get pulled for tints or failure to wear a seat belt, than an exhaust violation.

Any which way;

The way it all happened was the 3rd session on Sat the pipe to the intake popped off. It popped off again on Sunday's first session. Threw a code, and cleared itself. Bobby's hairspray fixed it up nice (thanks Todd), and it ran for the rest of the day.

On Monday, after the 60 mile round trip to and from work, cruising in 5th it threw a temp TPS and perm Catalyst. Cleared the codes on Tues, and on Thurs is threw the Catalyst perm again. Dealership replacing under warranty. I am moving to a new state, and once I am through inspection, I will replace with a test pipe.

Cat on the track, yep... I replace nothng, change no settings. Just swap on the Hoosiers and go... I currently have -2.1 camber, need 3+ next time. The car kicks ***, and drives home.
