if it's affecting everything that much that means you need to move to a more serious wing now. one that is large and adjustable

Have you looked at something like the Croxx plate from works?

I'm sure the packaging would be a nightmare but, I bet there would be good gains from building some ducting behind the radiator to ensure that the air going through the engine bay leaves out the evacuator in the hood.

iunno if that is really a great idea. unless the hood is aftermarket with a lot more vents the opening is a bit small. if the varis hood were used that would be a great idea. the stock panel kinda lets air out here and there so it's not as much of a concern and having air go under the car isn't a huge deal since the evo isn't very low.

it's worth a try.

another thing people can look into is a nascar style air dam. that's really simple and drag inducing but it should work just like the brake cooling side spats.

I'm assuming that he is running some type of splitter that would necessitate having the front bumper fairly low to the ground where you would not want the turbulent air coming out of the engine bay rejoining with what you would want to be a low pressure area (under the car) and causing turbulence which, is what the plate would hopefully be helping smooth out.

If you are not using the splitter the best thing you can do for front down is get the valance damn near on the ground although that definitely causes issues with mechanical grip. Splitters like a little distance off the ground for them to work well and are fairly sensitive to height changes.

Yep, got the splitter/undertray covered.

Also will add some crazy canards once the testing of the splitter is done.

You'll want to keep a close eye on SCCA FasTracks as there are changes/clarifications to the aerodynamic allowances in SM for next year.

FYI you'll also want to get the undertray as close to the ground and with as much surface area as possible for maximum benefit at low speeds. Mine is 1.5" off the ground at static ride height....
