Race/Track only coilover recommendations

Yes I've searched for hours and hours on these forums but unfortunately coming up short. My 03 evo 8 is for the track only and not street legal.

What do you recommend for a track purpose ONLY coilover package? WORKS stage IV type of Ohlins? Motons? DMS?

What if I just went with the cheaper Ohlins R/T custom valved by someone like Vishnu, WORKS? Or are they definitely not suitable for track only duty meaning... would I be begging for more half way through the season?

Apologies for the "dumb" questions, I'm a newbie when it comes to evo's but loving it so far, a great track beast these things are great!

Thanks!

03 evo 8 - race car
04 GT3 - weekend/HPDE toy
07 tahoe LTZ - tow vehicle
07 audi A4 - daily beater

We'll be giving our WORKS/Ohlins Stage IV setup another workout at tomorrow's Time Attack. Feel free to give us a call to discuss specifics on what you're after.

I'm a huge fan of the ZZYZX Motorsprots stuff personally. I got to see his ideas for the newest designs on the evo suspension and I must say I'm really jealous. Koni Double adjustable shocks are also very popular among road course guys as well and is what he originally designed them for.

We helped Moton develop their EVO application with the help of Dave Heinrich, a very succesful auto-x guru.

If your car is track only, it sounds like Moton's would be the right choice for you.

Please give Myles a call if you're serious at 443-370-9000.

I think you'd be very happy with the Vishnu "track only" package. It is cheaper and complete with everything compaired with most equal quality stuff that's out there. You will not "be wanting" with this set-up.

PM me if you have questions, I'm they guy that developed the proprietary valving for them...

MOTON, OHLINS, JRZ and DMS ... I would not even look at anything else. Best thing is for you to call the reps for each one and see what they say. Depending the type of track you drive and support you get from your vendor in my opinion would be the way to go. The shocks are only as good as the people that help you set them up and make the adjustments to go with your driving style.

Cheers,
