Interesting Idea for a Gauge/Switch Panel

I'm starting to set up the dash on my Evo IX race car, and one thing I'm using to give myself some extra space is the Orbital kit. This kit relocates the HVAC down to the bottom cubby and gives you a double din opening up top.

Some carbon fiber sheet and silicone adhesive then gives you a pretty nice panel that you can use for gauges and switches together. You can check out what I did on my blog:

Orbital Double-DIN Kit

Enjoy.

My AC is coming out, but the Targa Newfoundland rules require you keep your heater core so I decided to leave the HVAC system in place in order to clear the windows if it rains.

Good idea. I got stuck with a fogged up windshield on sat morning. Good luck with the build and keep us posted.
