it wouldn't be rally cross then. the cars (even properly prepared rally cars) are not permitted to get airborne in rallyx.

No jumps, though I've often ended up on 2 wheels

That's up in NorCal, but the racing is the same.

Heck I yump on public roads... on accident of course.

I just wish there was something more than running around cones on dirt and full go stage rally. I have worked with a Pro Rally team for two years and have the itch but the cost of running even a production or G2 car is very high.

Yeah, it's about 25k to run a production class car through a 10 event season . . . And that's before feeding and housing your crew (unless you go commendo). Pretty pricy.
RallyX gets you all the practice to make sure that when you decide to run full rally, you stay on the road and win. And it's the best offroad bang for the buck, period. At around $45 per event, you can pay entry fees, pay for gas, change the oil and filter on your car etc. for well under 1k for a full season.
We're looking at some different things to bring some spice to it next year. For example, a wet tarmac event (like Rally Japan). Come out, talk to the organizers, and share ideas on how the sport can grow and be more exciting.

Heck yeah! Please don't get me wrong. I so want to see rally catch on in America and RallyX is part of what needs to happen to get that going. For myself however I can get a whole lot of fun driving around the unpopulated backroads of SE Ohio in the National Forests for free. Then again I have to keep it cool to be safe and can't beat anyone other than myself.

Wet tarmac seems like a cool idea as would one on snow if you could get some, maybe sand too? I think anything that uses real terrain and natural obstacles is extra cool as it mimics real life driving which is what makes rally so special to me. Its all about being as fast as possible from point a to point b and the closer RallyX can stay to that while being safe and affordable maybe the better off it would be.

PS- Anyone wanna meet me at STPR the week prior to the race so we can show some of the Suby guys what time it is?

How about something for somewhere besides the west coast?

We're working on that -- this is our first year. If organizers are interested in holding events elsewhere in the country, we would help with training and organization.

If you get one or two other folks good to go here in central ohio drop me a line. There are multiple dedicated rally types as well as multiple pros who we could get involved as well. My works makes it impossible for me to take a lead role but I can sure be very very involved.
