You are correct, but I was referencing the cat in that you could run without one possibly making Kronik's car legal in BSP.

Hey, when are you going to let some of that warm weather travel this way. 7 degrees expected tonight (-10 w/windchill). Another snow storm heading this way.

SS RX7, you _can_ use MBCs in SP as of 2006, so he could probably get legal for BSP pretty easily...at the very least, he should be in SM. I'm amazed he thought an MBC put him in EM - that's a crazy modified class, haha.

Thanks! wasn't sure of the exact rules of BSP as it is not a class I'm interested in (honestly too many rules to memorize) ... But to OP should probably run in BSP and his car seems to fall in that class ... The SM, XP and higher classes just get crazy expensive ...

When they moved us from ESP to BSP they decided to allow boost control.

I know boost control is now allowed in SP, but I thought you had to do it with parts/electronics that NA cars can use. I guess I should read the rulebook

Hmm, haven't heard of that stipulation, but I also don't even know what that means.

Thanks for all the advice... I'll definately have to read the full rules on the classes (I read the short version). That would suck if I'm in the wrong class, but I think it will actually make me better trying to compete with my buddies 600+whp Viper on Kumho 710's.

Bringing this back from the dead...

I'm about to run my 3rd event out here (haven't ran since Jan) and just wanted to make sure I'm good to go.

I got my front camber at -1.5 and rear at -1.0 (as much as I could go while being able to pass recon - HI thing) and toe is 0 all around.

I'm running RT-615's (255/40) now... what pressure should I start out with on these? I saw one of you is running it at 44f/40r... anyone else?

I'm sticking in the EM class since we're all pretty similarly modded and I really don't feel like shelling out another $50 for new magnets. It's not like there's a lot of crazy fast cars out here running auto-x, so I should be fine. I'll worry about the classes more when I get back to the mainland.

Hah, ok, but EM should be cars that are not even cars. They should be more like go carts with nothing resembling a car except 4 wheels. If the other EM cars are modded like you, then I guess they just threw a dart on a board to pick their class.

Anyway, I didn't know you could get the front camber to -1.5. I thought it had two settings - -1.0 and -2.0 - but I guess not. You should go ahead and put it all the way to -2.0, or as far as you can go. Start with the tires in the 38-40psi range, but check the pressure when hot right after a run to see how much they inflate. I don't think less in the rear would be right - it should be less in front so that you can reduce understeer.

OK.

I took it for a laser alignment. the highest I could go pass recon (some BS inspection they got out here) was -1.5 up front and -1.0 in the back. I'ma go back and get the front set to -2 when I get a chance since I failed recon.

Where would you suggest I put the rear... 43ish?

No, not 43. You want it there after they get hot.
