Kudos to Road Race Engineering

I ran at least three hours at Buttonwillow Raceway last Saturday, beating my new engine. Everything ran great. Thanks to Mike Welsh and Honda Robert at Road Race Engineering for all your help and hard work. The new built-up forged internals and ported head make all the difference, and now the motor can handle the Garrett 3076.

Thanks to Scot Gray for tuning me Friday night. 439 whp and 383 tq. to the wheels. Nice.

RRE is the best shop in all of southern cal, hands down. they are knowledgeable, prompt and honest.
as for scott gray...... no intro needed, his work speaks for itself.
RRE makes tuning technologies seem like beginners!!!

Although I'm a huge Tuning Technologies fan, I do have to put in a good word for Roadrace because i asked if I could run by on Sat on the way back from LA to San Diego to pick up racing pads for this Friday at Willow Springs, and they were very flexible. Unfortunately, i couldn't make it by but i appreciated the effort. If only the USPS hadn't lost my Ferodo's in the mail.....

I've been ordering from RRE for the last couple years for DSM parts. Now I have been getting all of my Evo suspension/brake parts from them, since a vendor here didn't have their "in stock parts", in stock.

RRE ftw

Keep trying. The reason they don't answer the phone sometimes is that they're on another call filling another order. RRE (562) 777-1522.

If you've ever been to RRE during the day, the phone rings off the hook all day long. Best to leave them a voicemail and they'll return your car within 24 hours.

I wish we had a RRE in our neck of the woods.

On Mar. 2 SpeedVentures has an HPDE event at the Streets of Willow Track -- there's plenty of space if you want to sign up. www.speedventures.com

Also, there is an open test 'n' tune on the big track at Willow Springs on Mar. 2, but your car has to be race prepped. I will be there.

100 octane unleaded

peak boost 1.7 - 1.8 bar or 25 - 26 lbs.

I haven't been to Big Willow with this set-up yet. Best lap time so far is 1:37.3 on stock turbo.
I'm going to the open test 'n' tune tomorrow, so we shall see.
