Cool

Don't know about lightest, but I might have the heaviest ~3350 with half tank.

This is possibly the best thread I've ever started. 3 responses of my own, one person who felt bad for me and posted.

haha i'll do a pity reply too

I remember seeing a few people posting weights of a little over 2900...not sure if it was on a full tank or not. There could be lighter ones out there, this is all i remember seeing.

My street mod car weighs in at 2880 with 3/8 of a tank of fuel. That is an rs with no cage or roll bar. The ams ta2 has not been finished yet, so no weight known for sure, although target is right around 2500lbs. TA1 was about 2900 last year, but is now down in the low 2700's. Hope that helps

I got my Evo II track car down to 2566 which is why i'm putting a feeler out there. I wanted to know the weights of other cars that are competitive in modified and unlimited time trial classes. My car's still got a full cage, carpet and two seats, factory dash, glass windows and a cat.

Yeah it still has A/C right now... Marty is about to strip his... I was waiting to see if we got any "rewards" weight from the Subie repeat at the Runoffs, but so far so good.

Wow. 2566 is very light, but what does an EVO II weigh bone stock? Would you share with us how you got it so low?

About 2850, if memory serves.

For a weight conscious car, that one has some serious cross weight.

d

EDIT: wikipedia suggest 2750 lbs for the heaviest 2nd gen (CE9A).

I'm going to work on the cross weights soon. I think it was just about 2900 stock. I just went over every part on the car and asked if it contributes to either safety, performance or comfort in relation to helping me be happy in the car and drive it faster. If it didn't contribute to any of those things It was out. If it did, and was heavy I shaved, changed or remade it.
