Labor Day Track Day - Gingerman!!!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we just booked a big day at Gingerman.

Labor Day - Monday Sept 3rd @ Gingerman!!! This should be an Awsome time. Weather is usually good this time of year too! We just opened registration for the event. To register, just go to the www.3ballsracing.com website and click on the event.

You get about 2 hours track time for the day. We run 4 groups based on car and experience in 20min sessions. Pizza lunch provided free, and water and gateraid all day long. Cost is $140 for Labor Day at Gingerman.

Check out our other events.
Grattan Saturday July 28th is almost full ($150),
Calabogie on Saturday Sept 29th is wide open ($175).

See ya!

I know a few of us in GR might be interested. Thanx for letting us know. I have not had any true track time as of yet, so this will be exciting.

If you want to get out soon, we have Grattan booked for Saturday July 28th. Grattan is awsome! blind corners, elevation changes, 1/2mile straightaway... So much fun! Glad you interested in coming out!

Gingerman's on my list to hit, but there's a few other tracks closer to me yet. (Gingerman is 375 miles from St Louis). I was told it is a lower geared track, is that true or have I got it mixed up? Would like to experience some more 3rd gear and possibly 2nd at a track actually!

I am not sure about the gearing range, but I just watched one of my Evo buddies run it on a Monday a while back. Maybe he can chime in and talk about it. Otherwise I will tell you how it goes.

Not sure if you're talking about me or not Joe.

I was at Gingerman recently in my IX (GSR 5-speed). It's basically a 3rd-4th gear track. But there's not any big straights where you get into 5th (like Grattan) either. I have tried going down to 2nd a few times but it always seems like it's not worth it when I do.

Because there's no really long straights that also means that I find Gingerman to be pretty hard on a car's tires and brakes. My friend Dave (IX MR) and I have found that Gingerman is a bit harder on our car than Grattan is.

Gingerman is a fun track, but now that I'm a bit more experienced I like a track with some elevation changes to make things a little more interesting... like Grattan. Gingerman is an EXCELLENT track to start out on or if you have little road course experience. It's nice and flat and there is plenty of run off room in most places if you get into trouble.

Then again, maybe I'm just spoiled living here in Michigan having quite a few nice tracks near by... Grattan (only 20 minutes from my house), Gingerman, Waterford, Mid-Ohio, Autobahn Motorsports complex. And I hear their building some super, 6 mile long road course in Northern Indiana.
