Setup advise needed

I have a track day tomorrow and forecast is for thunderstorms all day. Wondering what will be the optimal set up for tomorrow.

I have new Nitto NT1s and PF01 (front) and PF 97 (rear) that i was planning on running initially. Should I go with this set up in the rain or will high friction pads\aggressive pads not be optimal for a wet track? Also will the Nittos be ok for the rain (given they are new so they have full thread).

OR should i stick with my street set up which is OEM tires and Ferrodo DS2500 pads? The track is very brake heavy (not really a fast track) so in the dry 2500s fade.

also what's the optimal cold tire pressure to run with the Nittos?

thanks

As long as there is not deep standing water the Nittos will be fine. I've even driven them in standing water and they were still good. AWD helps a lot in the wet. Also, last time I ran in the rain I just kept my 01's on the car.

Full tread Toyo RA-1s are often used as rain tires. I think you should be fine on the NT-01 as long as they are new and have plenty of tread block. Remember to do all the same things you do in the dry, only SLOWER.

Get ready for the PF brake dust to cement to your wheels after one session in the wet. :X
