HELP! at the track and ABS light is coming??

I'm at the glen with my new brake setup and just when I thought all my brake problems were a thing of the past, I hit a new problem.

my setup:

hawk HT-10 front
hawk HP+ rears
brake ducts
removed heat shields
secured abs lines using zip ties

what's happening:

now that I'm getting pretty fast I'm getting the ABS light coming on during sessions which kills the ABS and then the car is not balanced at all gets a little scary under threshold braking. I'm running street tires, falken 615s 255/40/17s and I'm at the limits of abuse they will take which might factor into the ABS freaking out. after a session I'll drive into town for gas and once back at the track the light is gone. but at the end of my next session it was back on.

is my ABS overheating?
does turning car on and off a few times clear it?

I'm back out again in the morning and could use help.

thank you.

are you talking the antilock light?

Make sure you're not rubbing anywhere on the wheel speed sensors, that's the normal cause.

You melted the ABS wires. Put the shields back on, there is no benefit in removing them and will not keep the air channeled through the rotors as the ducts were designed to do. Take a look at the ball joint boots they could be melted also.

hmm... I will inspect. I thought a lot of people removed the shields? I tied the ABS lines off really well.

if they melted then why do they come back after cooling?

I've always pulled them off, with 0 issues, other than better cooling. (despite whats previously claimed).

Just check all your wiring, and fluids. If you haven't already.

ABS light is gone and ABS works now (tested). I did have the light come on randomly for a bit again... but I think the sensor might just be slightly dirty?

all appears well.. I suspect a combo of dirt on the sensor and overloading the system.
