Early word back from BeaveRun in PA is that Marty took 2nd place just behind the other former Team Subie car (he beat the other one at RA last race). He had some early excitement during practice on Friday with a collapsed right rear suspension, but he got that all fixed up and qualified 4th of 7 cars registered in class. An early charge at the start and then another one mounted mid-race and he was right on the Subie's backdoor just not enough time and tire left to close the deal.

Looks like my car will be back together and it will be my turn to give it a go @ Mosport in Canada a few weeks from now...I can't wait!

Is that a silver evo he drives? I saw it racing at beaver run. I was going to come hunt it down but we didn't get any breaks at our Time trial on the go-cart track there.

 

Marty, I read you were all over the place except the pavement. Care to give us a brief rundown of the event?

Well, first off Beaverun is one of those tracks that if you are hitting your marks you will be kicking up some dust. On top of that I was able to get past a very good driver in an F body named Seq and was trying to run down the leader. I just didnt have the tire for it at that point. Speaking of tires, I tried the new R1s and IMHO they are a very nice time attack tire but are not the best choice for 40 minute races, When they drop off, they really drop off compared to say a Hoosier R, So yea I ended up doing my best rally imitation a couple times, it all worked out though.
