Evo Weights Page
You know how you start something with good intentions and sometimes it takes you a while to finally finish it? Well, that happened in this case. Back in December before I bought my Evo, a buddy and I traveled down to my local Mitsubishi dealership (Don Herring) with his scales to measure the different Evo model weights. Our intent was two fold. One, to help me decide which model to buy for autoxing and two, to help gather the information on real weights vs. the published weights of every model. The only model we didn't weigh was a RS but we got a the rest (on a side note, if you have a RS and are in the N. Dallas area, drop me a PM and we'll weigh you car and add it to the results). The dealership personnel were extremely helpful and everything went very smoothly. Thanks again to Don Jr.
Well, that was 6 months ago and we finally gathered all the data/pics and put a page together. And without further adu, here's the full detailed write-up:

Good info--thx...
The SSL is 100# (!) heavier than the EVO IX GSR-SE. I have an '03 w/ a sunroof, but no sound or leather & I'm trying to determine the weight of the sunroof penalty.
My car would weigh 3078 using your method right now. I have another ~64# coming out (going w/ light batt & removing rear seat/belts etc).
I'm shooting for 2999 car race weight--c'mon baby!

I can offer weight numbers for an 05 RS in a half-state of STU prep. I didn't run the weight stock, but I'm about 60lbs lighter than Mitsu's quoted numbers. The car was 3107 awhile back on our corner balancing scales.
I had some corrections to your write-up, but they don't jump out at me as I glance over the write-up again.

My MR weighed in at 3120 this weekend at our Colorado SCCA Divisional. I have no intentional weight reduction mods, but here are details that affect the weight:
- 3/8th tank of gas
- Removed spare, tools, jack, brake dust shields, hood vent, and glove box (-)
- Shep 5spd in place of stock 6spd (-)
- Ohlins in place of Bilsteins (-)
- Catless BR TBE (-)
- SS O2 (-)
- 18x9.5" rims and 285/30 tires (+)
- Alky kit installed but not used (+)
- Forge RS DV, UNOS MBC, and BDCK (+)

Yes I do. Good guy. I think he's gotten his M3 STU prepped now that he's moved to Colorado.
As far as why the MR-SE was lighter than the regular MR, yea that was weird. We tried our best to "guess" the fuel levels based on what the gauge read. We may have a mis-judged the reading a bit. In a perfect world all the cars would have the same fuel level but just picking them off the lot made it a bit tougher. *Edit, re-looking at the data we might have swapped fuel levels for the two MR cars. That would explain the weight differences-full tank vs. 3/4.*
One other note, I just corner weighted my car a few weeks back and in STU trim I'm right at 3100 now with a little less than 1/4 tank of fuel. The cross weights are a bit better now as well.

McCall, 3100? Just 20 below my MR, so my plethora mods must be giving me some decent weight losses.
Yeah, John and I spent the whole weekend shootin' the breeze, since he was right next to me in grid both days of our Divisional.
