Stance Coil Overs?

EDIT: PURCHASED MEGAN RACING TRACK COIL OVERS.

Any of you guys that actually lap your car run stance coil overs?

I've narrowed down my search to:
1. BC Inverted
2. MR Track
3. Stance GT+

Not sure which way I will go.

I had the MR Streets on my last evo and I really liked them but I was on stock advans. Now I'm on 245 NT01s and afraid the Streets will be too soft for R compounds but the Tracks will be to harsh for DD. What do you think of the track version on the street?

I've run a set of Tein Flexs on both my 8 and 9. They are good c/o's but pricey at 1400 (give or take $100) given the performance. The revised Flexs are better than the 04 versions. If that matters. The rates changed to 10K allway around if memory serves.

I got the Megan TRs for $850. So $650 less than the Flexs and the performance is comparable. I run time trials so I'm never on track for longer than 4mins per run.

I'm curious if Megan's can keep up on an open track day when heat and stress build up.

I like Megan Tracks. And I D/D (well spring/summer/fall) this car. I have 20,000mi on the c/o's + a half dozen HPDE days and handful of AutoX's. Soft setting is about the same as my OE - dial that down to track settings and its a different story.

Very good info. I'm sure I can get a decent deal from zeus considering the amount of business I've done with him. I just hope they aren't too stiff. I think 10k/10k would be perfect but for the price I'm willing to suffer if I have to.

For the record my low mileage 03 had much softer suspension than my stock 06. I think my MR Street coilover may have been softer than the stock 06 stuff.

I have never tried the Stance on an EVO but I like them on my time attack Z . They are a great street/track coilover in my opinion.

Step up a bit in price and get some KWs from Robispec ($2k). Its more money, but the cheaper coilovers just don't do it on the track. You will find that they can't handle stiff springs and that they only last a couple of laps before you begin to get shock fade.

If you can't afford decent coilovers yet, my recommendation would be to wait, save money, and buy something that works.

VERY true. Don't buy cheap coilovers. Minimum KW's or Bilstein.

I ended up purchasing some Megan Racing Track Coil Overs from a fellow EVO owner that decided not to install his. I got them for $700 and they are new. Hard to beat that price. If they aren't what I expect them to be I'll take them off and sell them for $650. Its worth the $50 to give them a try.

I really hope all you guys with the tracks are right!!!!

Where are you located? Not MI are you? There is a member on our local board with your name.

Do you know what camber you are going to use? And get the car corner balanced.

I use a semi-aggressive -2.5/-1.5 camber. Just have to rotate the tires a lot.
