Big Props to 992gnt
I had the opportunity to have Greg as my instructor at the Forgeline HPDE at Putnam this weekend, and I was extremely happy to have him on board
Greg is not the type of instructor that will "drive the car for you" as you drive, rather he points specific areas of the track to work on, and the results were evident for me after taking his advice.
After my time in the car with Greg, I can now go full throttle through 5/6 and get on throttle much earlier in 10 than I ever thought I could (10 is the only place you could kill yourself on the this track)
It was also nice to meet Nathan (Boomn29) at the event. He and his Subie friends were flying in the A group. Even though I didn't time them, I know of a race prepared BMW who I ran with in an A/B combo run last PCA and had struggled to pass, and these guys left him in the dust.
There was also a Silver Evo with a Buschur sticker on it , but I didn't get a chance to meet him....good to see alot of Evo's and Subie's out there!
Anyway, if you ever get a chance to grab Greg as an instructor, I highly recommend it

+1.
Thanks a lot Greg. I had to relearn the entire track as the lines I had learned were taught by a RWD PCA instructor. They were good, but only could get me so far and wasn't optimizing the Evo's ability. I'll report back on my improvements. I also never knew my car could handle nearly 100% throttle through 5/6!
Good meeting you (gofoward) too! Wish I had time to get more feedback on your thoughts of the NT01's especially!
I think there were 5 Evo's and about 6-7 STi's out there! I think we were well represented with the BMW, Vette and especially Porsche crowd and definitely held our own in our respective groups!
Props to Forgeline Motorsports and Dave & Sherri for putting on a stunning event. Tons of fast, high dollar and high hp cars and lots of clean runtime!
Good Luck to 992gnt at NASA Putnam next weekend!

Wow, thanks guys!
I appreciate the kind words. It was a great weekend, and you both made my job really easy. Both Dave and Steve commented on how fast you both were, and I'm glad I was able to add something to your experience. Hopefully I'll see you guys at the track a few more times next year.

How about next year they raffle off a set of custom rims...haha.
I was the one with the silver Evo with the Buschur sticker and Forgeline wheels.
Unfortunately I was only able to do the one day (Saturday)...so I didn't get a chance to play on Sunday
It was a good time and it was fun running with some quick cars out there.
A raffle for a set of wheels would be NICE wouldn't it?
Hopefully I'll see you guys at some more DE's next year.
