As for the Kumho... they are bringing out a new 140 rated tire as well. Should be a nice step up from the MX which is a decent low dollar tire you can beat on and not feel bad about.

Dont mind some of the Agressive posters, I have the Falken Azenzis RT 615 (tread wear rating of 200) and for what you are going to be doing I suggest these for you. They are great tires and are very reasonable, I picked up a set in 17/40/255 for $130 each at www.Edgeracing.com
P>S> nice looking rims you have coming in. I like them very much......

Rain isn't much of an issue in southern california I have about 240 minutes of track time on my RE01Rs, and 3k miles total. They look to be only about 25% worn. In pure street driving, you can probably get 20k-30k miles out of them. I highy recommend them and have them as my daily driving tires.

See I've heard less than ideal stories about RE-01Rs and their treadwear but that's on NASIOC where it seems like every tire is crap according to at least one person.

We've already mentioned the RT-615s, and no, they do not match his criteria. They are not great tires (I have them for daily driving). They are just good, cheap replacements for the stock Advans for daily driving purposes, not for racing purposes.

I'll also recommend the Bridgestone RE-01R, and as far as the wet traction is concerned, I have had nothing but success. The dry traction is phenominal for a TW 140 tire.

The ONLY reason I would recommend the RE050 over the RE-01R is if the "tracks" you are running are particularly hard on one side of the car's tires. So, if you would like the option to swap left side tires with right side tires due to excessive wear on one side, go with the 050s... Otherwise the RE-01R.
