Predictions:

nils new motor will last longer than my last one with Garrett 3076 and built internals (4 hours!!!)

I will compete but not win in ITA with CalClub (SCCA SoCal) in the Miata.

I will spend myself into the poorhouse buying 100 octane gas and NT-01s to run HPDEs in the Evo in between Miata ITA races.

I will get the itch to buy ANOTHER track car before 2009.

Happy New Year!!!

Well I pretty much only follow time attacks so here are my predictions...

Street class will be the Nils show.

Unlimited and Modified classes will be extremely competitive between the top few cars. The rest of the competitors in those classes will be far behind.

Billy Johnson will drive 90% of the cars.

I will declare bankruptcy trying to beat Nils.

The first turn of the first wheel to wheel "sprint" race at GT Live in Utah will be SCARY because of the reverse start (slowest car starts in pole position).

AMS will pass the sound limit at Laguna Seca this time .

Ok well here goes

Schumacher will win another championship of course not winning anything until half way through the season and the dominated all to win right at the end.

Hight will take the championship in funny car but it will be a tight race probably with Capps. John Force will probably not do that well but will be setting up to pass the torch. Ashley will finally get her first win. Mike Neff is going to be a strong contender i believe in his first year and get rookie of the year.

Greg Anderson will probably win once again setting records along the way but i believe that somebody will start to close the gap.

Angelle now being the only Schumacher bike this year will be a force to be dealt with. Think they are going to just dump everything they can into it to try and get the fuel injection dialed in to compete with Hines.

Ralf Schumacher switches to DTM, and Bruno Spengler wins the '08 DTM season.

I will complete more than 4 HPDE track days this year (there, now I've officially jinxed myself).

F1: 69 days until 1st Friday practice! :

-Hamilton will win WDC 2008, with Kimi 2nd and Massa 3rd. Kovalainen will be a distant fourth, struggling with Alonso.

-Seabass will score points in his first season, but will be beaten by his teammate.

-Ferrari will take Constructors' Champion 2008.

-Loss of TC will make races more interesting, with more crashes and stupid mistakes in the first 3 races.... including some interesting wrecks at the start line, and some silly burnouts. Wet races will be the most interesting on the calendar.

-Toyota will improve marginally, as will Honda. Woobens will still be beaten by Button.

-Ralf sucks at life, and will be twiddling his thumbs back home in Germany... permanently in the shadow of his brother.

Elsewhere...

-Montoya will be a solid midpacker next year.

-Aston Martin will pull out of all non-European racing due to budgetary reasons.

-Loeb will win again.

-Scott Speed will actually do ok, and be a midpacker this year.
