Makkinen is done! He was great, but I don't think it was only the WRX that was causing all of his problems.

Makkinen is the man! He still has skill, skill is something you can't lose. But however, me might have lost his "edge." It would be nice to see a new Makkinen edition on a new Evo perhaps the IX?
Mitsubishi might be replacing the Lancer Evo with a version of the Colt in the WRC though... or so I have heard.

I am pretty sure, from what I have read, that the colt is replacing the Evo in WRC. It would be a smart move and that Colt looks bad ***.

I loved the TME and I'd love to have one, but a new TME IX wouldn't feel quite the same since he hasn't won in years. He was sooo good, but it did help that the Evo was a great car too.

Makinen may have lost his edge, but he has not lost his experience which would prove valuable in setting up a new WRC car and in teaching Mitsubishi's new young drivers that will more than likely be coming onboard.
