Coil Over Travel
I'm in the market for another set of coil overs. I have read that some of the lower cost unit work well but have limited travel.
How can I compare different coil overs to determine which is best for me? It seems vendors release spring rates and thats about it. I'm sure the high end stuff has excellent travel but is there a way for me to tell how the sub $2k units compare to one another?

You definitely get what you pay for with coilovers. Read this thread:

A manufacturer or vendor may only publish spring rates because that's what they think most people look at. But there's much more to a suspension setup than just a number, but a good start for you would be to determine what you want to do with the car, what your budget is and what you're knowledge level is.
