da new RRuuuu-Rahhh....

ok.. so we all knew the new GTR would prolly be a monster... BUT.... a 1:56.9 at BW13 completely STOCK?!!?!?!??

come on! that cant be!!

470bhp / 3800lbs / 255-285's / Steve Millen = 1:56.9

I just dont believe those numbers.... for a 'completely stock' car!

Its an iteration of the RE070 that the STI came/come with. Mind posting up some other street tire times for us non-west coasters who aren't familar with BW times?

breaking 2 minutes at CW13 is very fast for a heavily modified car on street tires.... a sub 57 is 'stupid fast-barely believable' for a completely stock car...

Well, rumour has it that it isn't 470bhp, but closer to 470whp.

That and the RWD biased AWD might explain some of it. The GT-R has been absolutely crushing the competition on road courses...

wow. the mags are raving about it too.

now if I could only a) afford to buy one without setting my retirement date back, and b) afford to risk losing it to an "incident."

I guess if I made like 1 million a rear or something I could risk losing 8% of my annual gross income at the track. Risking like 80% of my net annual income just doesn't really enter my universe of acceptable activities...

maybe I'm just weird though...

Wait until you see the V-Spec. Reportedly did 7:25 at the ring vs 7:38 for "regular" version.

Very nice, I agree the vspec is going to be some 300lbs lighter. and probably a bit more power.

I saw a review of the v-spec and they claimed ~200 lbs lighter. Looks like they used carbon body paneling and carbon rotors.

As for more power...they claim an additional 75ish

How much do you think the Spec-V is going to cost (MSRP)? I can't wait to see the ridiculous dealer markup on the "regular" GTR.
