Wow, wow, wow...that looks mean!
I like the track. Ill have to get some laps in there.
Ill be in CT come July 1st. When are you headed back out there Kyle? If I cant get on the track, I'd still come to see that new beast.

Dan wants me to make the next Pocono event (Grand Slam Weekend) but money is the key..I only need 2 more races to make the nationals. I wanted to wait till the next Pocono north course weekend but the idea of running the long course and seeing 160mph in the Evo is tempting.
Jr. was using A-6's up front, thats why I caught up to him at the end of the race. He checked out at the beginning and got all the breaks in lap traffic but the A-6 tires heated up and I saw my "rabbit" to late break after! The A-6 front R-6 rear is definitely the right way to qualify, but not for the race.
True, on a front heavy awd car, the A6's arent the best tire for races. But if you have a balanced chassis or RWD cars like T1 vettes, the A6's are proven to be faster for racing. I've used them in time attack with great success but not sprint races.
Nope never driven the rx7 before the ls3... i got the chassis with no motor. For that matter ive never driven a front engine rwd car on track other than the solstice GXP on setup. To give you an example, most people know that i've had an Ultima GTR... the rx7 is by far the most well balanced car i've ever driven in my life. You can see in my video how well it rotates and how good the balance is. I actually have 51% rear weight currently. The LS3 setup is 30lbs heavier than the rotary with turbo's and intercoolers, but when you gut the engine bay, you can shift the weight bias to the rear. The car will be 2,200lbs wet without me in it. During my 2nd shakedown test (first time I got the car running) I ran faster than my evo only pushing 80% and with no setup to the car at all. I havent adjusted tire pressures, brake bais, shocks... even alignment. Its got lots of potential and i think its going to do well.
If your going to be in the area July 1st... you need to come to the grand slam weekend @ pocono. July 19th and 20th is the date. We will have two NASA sprint races, car shows, wet t-shirt contests and stuff like that. Its a good time to come. I wont be racing but i'll be doing the time trials.
We had tuned my Evo 8 on a hub dyno at 378whp with 25 lbs of boost. I tried to get a official hp # on the roller dyno that was at the track Saturday. That portable dyno is NASA's official series measurement. I had a intercooler hose come loose on the 1st pull so the car only had 20lbs. boost and showed around 340hp. NASA weighed the car with a bit under 1/2 a tank of gas and was 3285lbs with driver. The next event I need NASA to weigh the car with a 1/8 tank of gas (minimum race finish load) and dyno the car again and adjust accordingly for the class.
