Anything this weekend??
Anything this weekend??
As some of you may have read in my previous thread, I want to start doing autocross. I have looked through the websites and I'm still a little confused about how finding an event works and what I need to do. I e-mailed someone in the SCCA but I didn't get a response.
I'm located in Ayer MA. Is there anything going on this weekend in the autocross world that I can just show up, pay and race?
thanks for the help!
p.s.- I promise you I'm doing everything I can to figure out the process lol

I just registered for a BMWCCA test and tune in devens on july 13th. looks like they only can have about 75 people and it seems like about 128 or so have registered so we'll see.

Dude - go the the New England Region SCCA's Website at NER.org and check out the autox schedule.
I don't know if there is anything this weekend, but there are tons of autox's in ayer at the airfield there (forgetting the name). If you get a chance, take the weekend off and go to one of the national tour weekends - sick fast cars there, like the AMS autox'er they built a couple years ago. Most of their events are "show up and drive" though, so go to as many as you can, lucky you - its a freakin 5-hour drive for me
BTW, its really simple to go to one of the events. You drive up to the gate and sign a waiver, then go to registration and pay, then line up at tech. Then all you gotta do is wait for you group of drivers to get called to the grid and its green away!
