My head is too big...

Went to try out helmets yesterday. Going to be needing one since I'm going to my first HPDE soon. I tried an HJC XXL motorcycle helmet. It was pretty tight. Do different brands and styles of helmets differ in sizing? Like would one brands XXL be a lot different than another's XXL? There's this Snell 2005 helmet I want to get from Safe Racer but XXL is the largest size it comes in.

Bell makes comfortable, reasonably priced helmets made especially for those with big brains. I recommend buying a Kevlar, SA rated helmet, as opposed to a Motorcycle helmet. Both are allowed for HPDE, but only SA is allowed for racing.

Wow, that is a big head. When i saw the title and the fact that it was posted in the motorsports section, I thought maybe you were winning a lot.

You are in luck as I have a really huge mellon.

Try a G-Force as they run pretty big. Zamp is rather large as well.

Helmets are a bit odd in that an XXL may mean one thing in one brand but something other in another brand.

In a fitted hat I wear a 7 7/8th or 8. It's hard to tell as I run across so few fitted hats that size that it's a moot point.

With that said the G-Force in XXL that I picked up was snug but comfortable which is exactly as it should be. The folks in the link I posted sent me another helmet first which ran small but were very kind in helping me find one that did work.

If you get one from them I would venture to guess that they would offer you the same courtesy. Give one a try and see if it works. If not, try again.

try a simpson bandit with the smaller cheek pads in their largest size.
fit is awesome for my 25" diameter cabeza.
g-force and pyrotect xxl are also good fits.

just look at the size of that melon!!!

Ouch... I can not get any Simpson on my head and I wanted too.

They are nice and light and while they are expensive I value my head.
