Philly Region SCCA - The Holbert Memorial
Philly Region SCCA - The Holbert Memorial
If anyone is planning to come out for this event, I just want to give everyone a heads-up that it is pre-registration only. You can register at:
MotorsportsReg.com
For anyone who has no idea what I'm talking about, its a 2-day autocross on August 9th and 10th. If you live in the northeast and don't want to drive all the way to Finger Lakes for the divisional, this is another option.

Dave, I've missed this event in prior years... could you tell us a little about the format of the event, run groups, timing, scoring etc.?
I'm kinda bummed that NNJR SCCA has an event that day too... I'm #2 overall in PAX for the year and I don't want to miss any events...

This year we're running the Holbert as a 2-day event, each day will be a full-day format a la National Tour events. We have four run groups. Run 1 and work 3, run 2 and work 4 and vice versa. There will be four runs on Saturday and three on Sunday. Best time from each day is added together to determine overall winner. Entry fees include a dinner Saturday night and lunch on Sunday.
The overall PAX winner gets their name on the Holbert Memorial trophy and they get to hang onto it until next year.
Pre-reg closes on August 5th at midnight.
Everything is spelled out in more detail if you follow the registration link.
Single-day registrations are available. It could be good seat time but you'll get scored as a DNS for the overall event.

I'd highly recommend this event to anyone with time to go this weekend. The Philly guys are great people (save one or two) and they run a fantastic event. The competition is some of the best in the country and the course at Warminster is great. They've also got some great cooks in the region if you can manage to bum a cheese burger. LOL
