Nurburgring - Fastest Modified EVO Time???

Hey what's up guys. We were just having a little argument here at work. I know the fastest *stock* time for an EVO IX is 8:11 for the 'ring... but I was wondering... some of these tuner cars must have made it out to the ring -- does anyone know what the fastest recorded time for a modified EVO on the 'ring is?

I am just as interested in information about this. Who knows man, maybe HKS sent their CT230R out there for a go lol? I bet it would run a mid 7 at best, maybe sub mid 7....

Yeah tons of them with evo's, but I bet an American or Jap Evo dusted them

You can also search around www.evo-forum.de and translate it with yahoo. I am sure the info you are looking for is their.

I honestly think it'd be in the 7:00 - 7:15 range, maybe better. Just think. I know tracks vary, but it'll do 10 seconds faster around a 1:00 track (Tsukuba) than a GTR, which does the "'ring" in under 7:30. If the suspension was set-up just right, I wouldn't be suprised to see sub 7 minute times from the CT230R or even the Cyber Evo.

Try to post this on lancer register (UK Evo Forum). They may have the answer.

I understand where you're going with that but, no good, the CT230Rs tires are only good for about 5 laps at Tsukba. Sorry for the misdirection.

I guess you make a good point. Well then let me say that if the CT230R's could use it's full potential on the Nurburgring that it has when running around Tuskuba, than it could run the lap times I mentioned.

Even so, I'm almost certain there are tuned Evo's than could put 30 seconds on a GTR around the Nurburgring. And I only use the GTR as a 7:30ish second referrance. Not trying to turn this into Evo vs. GTR
