You don't have an issue as you still have the stock seats. By trial and error I devised and used a unique procedure of getting 3 tires in the back. Problem is that I went to fixed back seats this year so I may now have an issue... I may end up getting a roof rack for the tires (seen it done by some 911 owners) because just as you point out I have no room in the garage for it.

I do like this idea too: . If someone knows where to get it or will make one for themselves, I'd be interested in getting one made as well.

I don't like the cutting of the roll bar idea at all - don't trust it.

Anyway, in your case here is the procedure of getting 3 tires behind the roll bar:

1. slide driver seat forward and tilt forward
2. slide passenger seat back and tilt back
3. put towel over passenger seat and over center arm rest.
4. roll tire through passenger seat, over arm rest into back foot area behind driver seat (helps to have spokes pointing towards the back so you can use them to lift and rotate into the rear)
5. grab the spokes on the bottom of the rim and slide the bottom of the tire under the harness bar, while with other hand grabbing the top of the rim and guiding it down. You are basically doing a "U" under the harness bar at this point.
6. Once the wheel is in the back, move it to the passenger side.
7. Repeat for 2 more tires.
8. The last wheel goes in trunk in place of the spare.

Hope this helps.

I've seen that before, and that might be the best solution. No hassle of a trailer and no need to cut the rollcage.

As for your method to getting the tires inside, were you good at twister?

Ok, did some searching and found more info. Here's the original page where your image is from:
http://www.egansworld.com/oldsite/sti_tiretail.html

Supposedly it can be bought from TireTail
http://www.tiretail.com

However I get redirected another site that claims to have it, but doesn't show up in their inventory:
http://www.izoomgraphics.com/index.p...=page_tiretail

Special Order

We're adding more models to accommodate a variety of vehicles. See product pages for our current offerings, and If your vehicle is not listed, but think you'd like to benefit from hassle-free tire transport, contact us to determine if your vehicle is a candidate for a TireTail.

It's a simple design, so shouldn't take much to have a machine shop build it.

Haha.... no. But it took me about 45 mins of trial and error before I figured out it can be done that way. A few months later I forgot the sequence and spend another 20 mins trying to remember how I have done it the first time around....

I contacted the manufacturer of the Tire Tail and here is the response:

We currently do not have any TireTails in-stock and may not for a while. We have attempted to manufacture a TireTail for the Evo and the difficulty is that there is not a hitch available that can withstand the lever arm effect of the TireTail with a set of wheels and tires on it. I wish I had a solution as I just purchased an Evo IX myself but will likely end up using my track trailer.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Yeah I got the same response from iZoom Graphics.

As boomn29 has done I had one of the rear bars modified so it can be removed to allow access to the rear. It was done by a local shop that has been building rally cars for decades, so I have no doubt that it won't compromise the strength of the cage. I'll post up pics soon if anyone is interested, but it's almost like what boomn29 has posted earlier in this thread.

late on this thread but if you run the rear half of a autopower full cage the harness bar bar behind the passenger seat is flat not curved like the driver's side.

i don't have a pic of mine but here's what it looks like off their site...

see how the passenger side is flat between the hoop and the diagonal. i pull the scuff panel and notched the seam a little and can get all 4 285/30/18's on 10" wheels back there through the passenger rear door. if i run 275's they end up being a little taller so i have to throw one in the trunk. also you need to use the nylon tire covers like tirerack sells so it lets the rubber slide through and not stick to the bars.
