Redline Time Attack '09 schedule

I looked at the Redline schedule for next year and there is no Summit Point, and no VIR listed?? This changes my outlook for next year. Is Redline on the decline, or is the schedule not finalized? What gives??

Redline is bigger than ever. There were some issues with those tracks that made them reconsider and go elsewhere. I'm sure Nikolas will chime in sooner or later with more detail.

I agree; it's gaining momentum still.

Blacktrack - did you know the Midwest changes?
Gateway is gone; Autobahn is listed for June 20th. Not sure if it's the full track or not.

I think this coming season will be the best yet. The west coast schedule is awesome.

I am not sure why Summit Point was crossed off the list, but I know that because of track time issues, they will no longer be joining forces with GTLive and the VIR event was always a GTLive event that RTA tagged along to.

There was a ton of wrecks at Summit Point, but I was under the impression it was moving to the main circuit for '09. Looks like it got cut completely.

Summit is out because of the wrecks, VIR is out because of GTLive

ON THE DECLINE?!?!??!!??!

LOL

Hardly!

Next year is going to be HUGE compared to all of our other years. The proof will be in the pudding so to speak.

More print coverage
More online coverage
More Online Video coverage
Standalone TV Show
More DVD's
More Pro Teams
Finally getting a little bit of "industry" support

Summit Point is off the schedule because they refused to give us a date on the main circuit. No way we can run Shenandoah again. It was dangerous as it was with our current crop of Unlimited and Modified Class cars. The cars being built for next year?!?!?! Holy smokes! There are some absolutely insane cars coming to play next year and Shenandoah is NOT a safe track for them.

VIR is off for this year as we chose not to run with GTLive. We simply have outgrown the restrictions a joint even places on us. There is a possibility we will return to VIR in the future though.

We're going to record our first PodCast of 2009 the first weekend of January, and we'll be sure to mention a few of the big highlights for the year. Expect new podcasts every 3 weeks or so up until the beginning of the season, where we'll switch to a pod cast every 2 weeks, give or take.

A new website has been in the works for quite some time, so expect that to launch towards the end of January. Look for some viral videos and highlight vids hitting the web come the end of January. We'll also begin announcing our Franchised Teams in February.

LOTS OF STUFF happening behind the scenes...

Very cool, glad to see your getting it done.

However, all we see is a lot of ....coverage...for redline's sake...which is cool. But for us low on the pole trying to build cars on negative budgets especially for those of us on the east coast...it DOES seem like it's on the decline. Tis why you see VIR and SP mentioned my friend. So why don't you come to FL, AL, South Car, North even, TONS of tracks that ya'll haven't touched yet...can't hug the west cost forever

Glad to see NJMP on the list. I will be at that event for sure with either the evo or s13.

I would love to see a WGI or LRP event added.

LRP costs huge money to rent though.

I'm with the hippiekiller. I'd like to see WGI or something a little more eastward. I'd be glad to help.

My towing/traveling expenses are getting higher (or staying the same) as my modding/racing expenses
