We're not advocating running NO sway bar. What we are saying is that you don't need to replace the front stock bar. I will agree that you CAN replace the front swaybar with a stiffer one and use lighter springs. I will opine that it is less optimal than heavier springs and staying with the stock front bar. The OP asked about an autocrossing setup, straight line is less important. Stiffer springs are better for autocross due to the time spent in quick transitions, spring just work faster and better.

I won't deny that a driver can be fast on a small bar / stiff spring setup, but with the increased availability of aero mods (and overall better aero design from the factory on many cars) and advancement in tires, I'd be partial to the big(ger) bar / soft(er) spring setup.

Can any of you guys who have had just the rear sway bar alone, and then added the FSB comment on any of the effects it has made? I bought a set of front and rear, and I realize the FSB is somewhat of a controversial topic, but I've been recommended by someone very reliable to either put on both or neither for maximum potential.
Thanks

I've been instructed to add both front and rear sways for road course duty by suspension professionals so that is what I will be doing in the Spring as that's what I'd like to do with the car (HPDEs). I have heard that if you are only autocrossing, and need to stiffen up the rear to make it rotate in tight corners, then the RSB is adequate. I'm not a professional, but that is what I've read.

GL!

Thank you! I will also be doing some track work, but mainly auto-x, but might as well get it installed if I've got it! It'd be great to hear some feedback when you start running with the parts!

I'm a little curious about this. I'm in the same situation, planning to do a lot of autoX and some HPDEs. I just ordered a set of Ohlins and was planning on not doing the sway bars (at the moment). Maybe later if I feel it's necessary.

I'd also like anyone with experience to chime in.
