Right now i try to get somebody close to me . Within 3 hours drive.
Call Shawn at XX Tuning in East Hartford Connecticut. He built two NASA super touring roll cages in my evolution 8 and a Evolution 9. All tig welded bars and correct bases mig welded to the body. He specializes in drag cars in the 7 second range but did a fantastic job with our road race needs. For a true rally car cage I would give Charlie a call at Function First Motorsports in Vermont. He specializes in rally and hill climb race cars. He is a ride from N.J. but is moderate with his labor cost and will provide outstanding work.

could you give me some additional info's, like phone number or website?
Apex- I'm not sure if Charlie is doing cages anymore. He is very talented though. Chris Howard in Holliston MA is someone I'd recommend. There's another guy in western MA that is also good. This guy did FatBastard's cage which was a replica FIA cage.
You could also buy a tubeset from Custom cages UK (FIA) and have it installed. The two are very different, FIA and SCCA so you will need to know where you'll be using the car. For hillclimb either will pass. For HDPE and Time attack either will pass however the rally cage will not be legal for SCCA due to the door bars.

Charlies Function First Motorsport website is ffmsd.com I talked to Charlie and he will still do cages and currently has enough material for a rally spec. cage., XX Tunings phone # is 860-291-8808.
I'm glad to hear that he's still in the biz! I've known that guy for sometime now- probably 10 years. Hopefully he'll be back at a hillclimb this year.
You mean this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...rally-car.html ?

MTK's Welding in roselle, nj. THE NICEST CAGES I'VE SEEN. they build all sorts of cages including muscle car 7/8 sec. cages. they will even extend the cage to the engine bay and trunk for more support. just be ready to pay $3,500-$5,000 for a cage...
