Super Taikyu Endurance - engine regs?
Super Taikyu Endurance - engine regs?
Hi guys, I'm in the uk and am looking at buying a evo 8mr engine out of a class 2 super taikyu race car that was imported to the uk last year.
the seller has listed the spec but does not know what the pistons, rods and crank are? (he says engine is good for 600hp
)
what are the rules/regs with regard to tuning the engines in this race series? - I've tried searching around the net to no avail.
here is the spec for the engine for sale (its all he knows as all receipts are in japanese and he had them translated)
--------
he we have an evo 8 mr engine. this was running in my evo 4 that i broke for parts.
Car has covered 63,000 miles the engine has covered a lot less as it was rebuilt just over a year ago.

as u can see this is a top spec engine. im afraid the pistons are of unknown make, as i dont have receipts for the build as the car was imported from japan. the car was built to a huge spec and the engine is no different. the engine was running around 380bhp when in the car as was only running a modded evo 6 td05 16g turbo with 10.5 hot side. with a bigger turbo this engine would run 600hp no probs.
---------
if I buy the engine then I will be running it at approx 500hp but without knowing what the rods, pistons and crank are then I dont know if I should risk it???
thanks fo your help
Mark.
