VIR double National scca

Forgot to post prior to the race so some could come to watch. But just got back from VIR and we were fortunate enough to get both poles and win both races and set the track record. I ran a 2:10.1 in the race and did a 2:08.9 in quals (only race times count towards track records in scca). SCCA took some more power from me with a new restrictor but they finally gave me some decent susp mods. Thanks for all the support!!!

Big congrats Marty.

How's the overall ability of the car with less power but the better suspension options? I think ya get more spring rates and maybe more tire width?

They gave us springs 500/700, sways front and rear and 275 tires on 9 inch rims. The car is much easier to drive at the limit and the best part is I can keep tires on the car.

Congrats Mary! I dont recall what the 09 changes are for T2. What was the restriction on boost? And what size wheels/tires were you allowed to run before?

So 9 kg f and 12.5 kg r for limits? What did you settle on for VIR? What coilovers are you using Motons Ohlins etc or are those not allowed in T2 ? What diameter sways f/r 27-30mm f ? 25mm r ? Is the Perrin rear bushing for front a-arm allowed to reduce caster/camber change under heavy loading?

Sorry not wanting you to divulge secrets. Just looking to see what might work really well on road course like Road Atlanta.

I was thinking 10kg f 12 rear with 28mm front bar on full stiff, 25 mm rear ( set to the course ) Delrin bushings on sways, LCA's. Your thoughts?

Thanks

Glad you get to run the bigger 275 tires. Your confidence increases with the extra grip! Are you still running power assist brakes and ABS?

Congrats. I keep meaning to stop by sometime to meet you.

It was a crazy weekend for us. One of our crew was lifeflighted for hitting his head after falling while push-starting an FE, only to have that same FE decapitate a deer the following lap. Bizarre.

Good luck this year.

I like this one better: http://neherphoto.com/photogallery/d...album=9&pos=25

I won't be able to make Summit, but if you are at Mid Ohio or the Sprints, I will see you then.
