I have been getting more people asking about starting some sort of a T.T. style series running on the Northeasts racetracks. So now I am going to ask all of you here..would you participate ? Thanks, Pete

 

I'm assuming you're not trying to start an entire run group from scratch? Are you looking to piggyback onto an existing group and add in a specific Evo class? Like a 'Spec Evo' perhaps? I know that's how other groups have been added to NASA or SCCA. For example 944Spec did this recently.

Actually it should be all AWD, turbo, 4cyl's This way you get some Audi's in there too.

 

Agreed, I like the whole idea, I'd definitely take part in that.

 

I think EVERYBODY..whatever car you drive..should come on out to an E.M.R.A. Time Trial event. They get a good slection of cars already so your likely to find somebody who is running at your level..and the more people the more fun !! As far as the "Series".. we are a little bit away of having a working plan..so the final version will really depend on what you guys really want...So keep spreading the idea and we will get a formal plan. But for those who want to play NOW come on out to an EMRA event..We will be the first group to have a "official" race and a Time Trial at the new Monticello track in Upstate NY.. The guys who got to run the track in the snow over the winter said the track is awesome and some very serious fun to drive in the snow!!!! We will be using the South course June 19th..NJMP Thunderbolt May 29th COME ON OUT to Play...Pete

 

I'd be interested, but I'm a long ways from NY.

Not sure how this would be different that what Redline TA already does - and does well? Unless you're wanting to 'spec' things out - but sounds like ya don't.
