corner of front lip falling off

yea i know this is the motor sports section but i figured with the amount of fellow auto-x'ers in here, this has happened to a few of you...

so i have a stock 9 bumper/lip and after a few cones, the corner of the lip is hanging off of the bumper. i tried "clipping" it back on but it seems like there aren't any screws/bolts/clips for it to hold to...

anybody have a quick fix for this? i can push it back into place but as soon as i start driving, it falls off again

thanks

I had the exact same thing happen to my SE lip from hitting one of those damn cones. if you look under where the lip should to be there are small tabs that are supposed to be attached to the lip and screws go through the bumper into these tabs. the tabs are very weakly held to the lip and seem to be made to break away. Anyway I used double sided tape to put mine back on, I put it on the tab where it broke off and also on the back edge of the bumper where the lip wraps around and so far after a few months it's still holding strong.

Yeah, the mounting holes and tabs on the lip can't take much of a beating before they break. Double sided tape on the edge where the lip and the main bumper cover overlap is probably your best bet to get it back in place. I would start saving up for a replacement lip though.
