A bit of a snoozer this past weekend in Catalunya with Citroen drivers Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo taking a 1-2 finish. Mikko Hirvonen managed to sneak in a 3rd place finish w/ fellow Ford Works driver Jari-Matti Latvala coming in 6th.

Other notables include good showings for Petter Solberg in his new Citroen C4 with a 4th place finish and Citroen junior team driver Sebastien Ogier who came in fifth.

The Driver's Championship comes down to the last rally of the season at the Rally of Great Britain (Oct 22-25th). Hirvonen leads Loeb by 1 point and this one is going to be for all the marbles. Here are some pics from Catalunya. More photos here!

oke here is my side of that rally
There was one Hungarian who runned first ever WRC rally in Grupe N.
He runned the N4 car Mitsubishi Evo IX. His name is Asi.
First ever rally he basically with 20 sec penalty won his category the grope N.+
he finished 16th overall.

here is the results

only the WRC could pass his time

also he runned always really in the back so when he got the stages they where absolutly spilled with gravel...

example :
look at the road front of Loeb:

look the same road front of Asi

just to make it more interesting .

It's really interesting how on dirt you don't want to be the first one out, usually referred to as "the sweeper", because you end up clearing all the loose gravel for those who follow afterwards. Seems to be the opposite on tarmac. Didn't realize how much rubble the cars kick up by cutting corners.
