More AERO ???

I know there have been alot of threads lately regarding Aero and Downforce with our Evo's.. Which is nice because this is something I have been very interested in for a long time.

I have an Evo 8 with the APR GT front bumer w/ integrated lip, APR canards, and the stock undertray that I am hoping to replace with a splitter.

I want to increase my rear downforce but I do not know how much my front is making? Any ideas?

It doesn't really matter 'how much' the front is making, per say. How's the balance of the car at speed? If it's a bit loose, add more rear downforce. If it pushes, adding more rear downforce will just make it push more.

well it does quite a bit of both. Im not using tires that are any good...

It wants to understeer more than anything at low speed and at 45mph and up it oversteers pretty good

That answer to that could be either with adding aero or changing the car's alignment.

Without a wind tunnel it’s really hard to tell.

Do you have any rear under tray or diffuser? That would help out a lot without creating extra drag.

Why would you even begin to think of adding aero if you dont even have proper tires?

Where are you driving te car to get this info though?

on a track or on the street?

From your other thread I would say set the car up on a certain power level ( low if your beginning ) and keep it there. Then learn the car with what mods you have including suspension. As you get more seat time and feel you really know the car and know what its doing or why it not doing it.... Then get into things like more advanced suspensions and aero!
