MOD class cars on the podium seem to have 500-750whp.
STREET class - where I compete - brings the top cars with 450-525whp it seems this year. Then there's the regular guys like me with 350whp!
Good to know im still a front runner, if not, the top dog when it comes to long threads.
Im sure you feel really lucky to have missed that mess in the 2nd session. It sounds like there are certain things brewing behind the scenes over various issues. Btw, are you planning to come out to Nationals this year to compete in TTB? It would be cool to see you out there.

I figured the fuel, entry & hotel costs and I was at $1800 easily w/o even turning a lap at Miller! 2011 Nationals would be 1/2 that with Mid-Ohio just 450 miles from me - although I've never been.
I actually just got invited to the GRM UTCC event at VIR in July. I've never been and I'd love to make the 13hr tow there to compete! Thinking a lot more seriously about this one than 2010 Nationals now.

Nice.
We both need to get there before and get some laps in! NASA GL region runs there 3 times a year, usually it's a 3 day event option too. My schedule for this year is pretty tight already; no plans to make Mid-O this year but we'll see.
Here's the NASA regional dates:

Ya my thoughts right now are to attend a couple events in a rent-a-racer but I haven't crunched the numbers yet. Maybe meet the old man there and run the Porsche. Likely next year too. Doesn't have to be with Nasa if the timing doesn't work out, esp if we're just getting to know the layout.
In reading, do we have to attend 5 weekends or 5 days of TT, and does it have to be in that callender year?

You're right; wouldn't have to run with NASA GL to be on Mid-O. For me though, since I run with a lot of the GL region at crossover events, there's already a comfort level with a lot of those drivers. I hear they really fill those events up and usually sell out.
Be more like Ed?
Too bad you cant make it to Nationals. As for the question about qualifying for Nationals, you dont need 5 weekends, just 5 days. I know they take into consideration certain issues, but those events have to be fulfilled that season.

I was out there in the second session and was right behind when all the carnage happened. I'll save my direct view input as it would create quite the drama for the people involved in the wreck.
Nate, great work! Beat me by .3 seconds AGAIN this year! I hate you
