Pics and Video: Thunderhill Raceway Evo 9 MR - E85 CBRD BBK
Had some fun on Friday
My 1st track day in the evo. Usually I bring my integra, but figured I'd give the evo a shot.
First the video. I apologize for the crappy camera angle. Since I don't have a roll bar there's not really a good angle for me to mount the suction cup for the GoPro.
I took it nice and easy (aka slow :P) just to get the feel of the car. You'll notice I didn't bother taking it out of 4th gear so I could focus on my line, which still needs work. Enjoy!

Now for the pics!! Thanks to Dito @ Gotbluemilk for the awesome photos. Also I owe a big thank you to Speed Element, GST Motorsports and Roger Kraus Racing

Thunderhill is on my long list of tracks to go to at least once. Lines look good for the most part. Keep working on them and you'll be up to speed in no time.
Another good location for the suction is upside down on the front windshield on the passenger side.
Another way to help you see your line is to place on of the 3m mounts on the front bumper above the intercooler.

I am not sure if the GoPro can run inverted or not, but I wanted to make sure I had video of my driving habits as well (hands and feet) for this event to compare with my video of the integra.
I was running E85 for the whole event. Brought 55 gallons with me and used 30 gallons of it in 5 sessions.
A lightly modded evo at full tilt would probably hit 125+ on the front and back straight. There are actually about 5 areas where people are going over 100 mph in high powered cars. The one time I shifted into 5th on the front straight, I looked down and was going 140 mph before turn 1 so needless to say it freaked me out a bit and I did the rest of the day without going into 5th. With as much power as I am making I really had to dial it back to stay within my comfort zone.

You can invert the go pro (I have one). If you sign up for their newsletter you get emailed updates as well. The last update was for the camera to turn the image right side up when inverted.

Well two different animals. The integra is light, brakes way better than the evo but has no power. The evo has tons of power, but braking sucks compared to my integra haha. But the fastest time so far for me in this configuration in the integra was a 2:27, so the evo is 9 seconds faster.

YAY! I just downloaded the new firmware update for the gopro. Now I can mount it upside down. Thank you!!! Now I gotta buy the LCD bacpak a new sd card and the manfrotto super clamp and I should be able to mount this thing anywhere LOL.

Yep. Bulldog stance FTW.
17X10 +25 up front
17X9 +35 in the rear
255-40-17 RE01R all around. No spacers required.
Stock Bilsteins w/ Swift Spec R's
Rolled in the rear
-2* camber up front and -1.5* in the rear
The suspension is otherwise stock. Stock sway bars, stock bushings, stock top hat, etc.

T-hill is a blast, I actually took my Volvo 850R wagon out there a few years ago. Shelton in Washington state is 2 days away from a special hearing on zoning, etc. If approved we will be getting a 2.5 mile road course, that was designed by the same guy who did thunder hill. Crossing my fingers.
